The Best Twin Buggy
Built to adapt to your family’s needs This inline double comes with multiple seating configurations and is suitable for twins or children of various ages. The foam-filled rubber tires will never flatten and its soft suspension makes light work of the kerbs.
It is easy to travel with because it folds down super-flat and meets the weight requirements for gate-checks at airports. It also comes with an enormous under-seat storage basket and a four-panel sun canopy.
Leclerc Influencer
The Leclerc influencer is a great option for those who fly. Its sleek design, auto-folding feature and dimensions that are approved by the cabin make it an excellent choice. Its folded (and unfolded) width is 47cm which slightly exceeds the IATA standard of 45cm. However, it still meets the airline’s hand luggage regulations and can be stored in the overhead lockers during flights (Subject to Airline approval). We found it easy to clean using just a wipe down, and there were plenty of extras available, including footmuffs, nappy and buggy organiser bags that strap onto handles and hoods that provide UV50and protection.
We love the fact it’s so small when folded down, and how it is able to fit easily into small spaces such as shops narrow alleyways and Jane’s tiny terrace – and it’s even easier to manoeuvre up and down the stairs. The bumper bar can also serve as an handle. It also has a large brake that’s flip-flop friendly and comes with a colour-coded indicator. The basket is smaller than the other models, but it will still accommodate a huge changing bag. There are also trays for storing snacks, drinks and toys.
It’s suitable from the time of birth and can be used with a Leclerc Baby Carrycot or car seat using adaptors (sold separately). The innovative backrest can be folded down to make it ideal for naps or long walks. The 5-point harness that is magnetic makes it simple to use. It’s also super light at just 6.6kg and comes with a travel bag.
Joie Evalite Duo
British brand Joie is committed to “sharing happiness with the new parents” by creating pushchairs that are “functional and innovative, as well as stylish”. The Evalite Duo is their latest twin buggy. It’s designed to take two children side-by-side, unlike the slightly heavier Aire Twin, and has seats that are raised so both kids can see the world around them.
At just over 10kg at just over 10kg, the Evalite Duo is one of the tiniest strollers for siblings on the market. It’s suitable from birth and can be used with Joie car seats or carrycots (with the Instant Sure Lock attachment). It’s simple to drive, ride, lift and fold and the clever frame expands widthways to accommodate the second seat.
Out ‘n’ about says the Evalite Duo’s one-handed folding is an absolute highlight. They were amazed by the speed and ease with which the Evalite Duo comes together. However, they did notice that it’s more difficult to navigate bumps and rough terrain than some other models.
The front seat does not fully recline and the parents were forced to use their own hands to lower it. This is something they’d prefer to avoid when traveling with young children. The Evalite Duo, however, is a fantastic stroller that can be made even better with a few adjustments. They love how compact it is when folded.
iCandy Peach
iCandy Peach is a highly-sophisticated tandem buggy that provides parents with all the options they require. It is compatible with a variety of car seats, and folds easily with a single click. It comes with a range of accessories, including raincovers and liners. Rival brands charge separately for these.
iCandy’s Peach pushchair is a sought-after choice for parents who are fashion-conscious due to its modern and stylish premium jersey fabrics. This new 2022 version of the Peach has been subjected to a variety of minor tweaks that improve performance and efficiency without sacrificing style.
The addition of a ride on board makes this the perfect option for twins. It is also a little smaller than the older Peach model, yet it still offers all the space that your child might require.
This is an excellent double stroller If you are looking for something elegant and versatile. It can be used as a single pram right from birth and then buy an additional kit to transform it into a twin buggy. It also has a massive basket and 5 reclining positions for maximum comfort for your child. It also has an easy fold that can be folded with one hand and an integrated carry strap. It’s heavy to store, particularly since it folds into two parts instead of just one.
iCandy Orange
This is one of the best twin buggies available. The seats can be outfitted with liners and footmuffs to keep your children warm in cold winter months. The carrycot can be inserted into the Orange chassis with ease thanks to the gate-opening side flaps and is spacious and comfortable. The seat and carrycot are arranged in many configurations and the Orange chassis can accommodate an incredible 30 different combinations.
The wheels are specially designed to take on rough and concrete ground, and there’s a large shopping basket underneath which is ideal for big supermarket shops. The pushchair is lightweight and easy to drive. The round pedal brake makes it easy to use, but it’s not suitable for flip-flops. The latch that keeps it folded needs two hands to unlock. After it’s folded, the front wheels slide under the basket, and the chassis can free-stand without difficulty.
The Orange is a great option for parents who appreciate style and have a toddler or baby or both. They’re looking for a buggy that will grow with their child. It’s also a good option for parents who are expecting a second child in the near future who want a flexible double pushchair. The iCandy Orange is not cheap, but it’s versatile enough that it’s likely to last some time and also have a high resale price as well. It’s also available with a buggy board, which should reduce the amount of siblings fighting over seats.
Mountain Buggy Duet
Mountain Buggy, founded by a New Zealander and part of the Mokopuna Group, which also owns Phil and Teds and Baby Jogger is the first pram manufacturer to focus on two all-terrain pushchairs. The Duet twin stroller can be easily maneuvered in narrow aisles for shopping and through doorways. It is one of the smallest, most feature-packed double buggies in the market and has won many awards including 2014 Mother & Baby Twin Gold and the 2015 Prima Baby Twin Silver.
The seats are narrow enough for children of various ages to sit n stand double stroller together comfortably and the seats are reclineable so kids can choose their preferred position. The large canopies come with the ability to flip out sun visors and the storage basket is spacious. It can accommodate two infant car seats with the purchase of car seat adapters. It is compatible with almost all brands, which is a huge plus.
The only issue is the weight. At 32.4 lbs, it is heavy to lift in and out of the trunk and might be difficult for Grandma to handle. It is also more expensive than the majority of side-by-side double buggies. But, it’s built to last and comes with a lot of features for the price. It’s a good option for urban parents who wish to avoid lugging a bulky stroller around. The padded harnesses and 5-point buckle make it safe for babies.
Bugaboo Donkey Twin
The Bugaboo Donkey Twin has a elegant, functional design. It’s a great product, but it’s not without flaws.
It comes with very few conveniences, both for the children and parents. The only thing provided by the tiny side bin is that it is only available when a car seat is attached. There aren’t any cups, tray for parents or accessory pockets. This could be a problem during long trips.
The seats aren’t very flat and the gap between the seats is quite large. Our 5-year-old was having trouble sitting back comfortably. It’s a shame considering that this is a luxury vehicle.
On the bright side, it’s a easy to maneuver and the swivel wheels work well for climbing up steep slopes and steps. It’s also small enough to fit through most doors and folds easily for easy storage and transportation. It can be switched back to mono mode in just three clicks if you require more space or want to make a quick getaway. The comfort wheeled board can accommodate an additional child if needed. It is expensive though so when you’re on a tight budget, there are alternatives out there. If you love the brand and can afford it, it’s worth the cost.
