WoW Upgrades – The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren’t as valuable for the latter due to the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item upgrader kit is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be used on any weapon, tool, or armor using an button, which will show an image of the item upgrading when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character that will be able to avail the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with high-quality gear.
